I suffer from depression, anxiety, cyclothymia and OCD and I have found that painting targets my overactive imagination, taking me into a bold world of colour and realism where nothing exists but the canvas, the paint and my emotions.

Painting is a way to escape from the chaos of the world around me, calming my busy mind and over the years I have experimented with different techniques. I hope to cause a reaction by creating a depth to the painting, if you think you could reach into it and touch it or it could reach out and touch you then I have succeeded. I am often asked how I create the realistic textures and colours in my paintings and my response is that I have not been taught, it’s just how I see the world. I do commissions and hope to create a beautiful representation that the person can treasure.
